W/e 2/26 Free thought

"Hey, hey you, wiht your hands up on your hips. Staring down the next toy your gonna kiss.  Slow, slow down before you take em and you break em and you put him to your lips.  Can you keep it together while you find the answers or will you fall apart at....the seems likely you'll never stop gunning for what you wnat when will you learn that this isn't love it's just an instinct of the mind."

"How dare I call this love and not bear my cross till the end.  Sometimes ti's with our eyes closed that we find our sight sometimes it's in the darkness we see the light."

Classmate Response

"Would you still enjoy my voice as much if behind the drawls, pauses, and pitch-changes lay a silver-tongued-snake named Lucifer? Capable of twisting, manipulating, and conjuring elaborate hoaxes and hexes just to hatch at inconvenient times that I establish? Your miserable love and crush fail to my techniques proven over eons. All your spells work well on most, but what do you do when they don't?"- Joshua West

I really enjoy the idea of a silver-tongued-snake twisting and manipulating behind the scenes.  The only area I would like to see improve is the transition from (what I believe to be) profound description and emotion to an almost complacent question.

"Snow falls into empty streets, an omen for the frozen rain that is slowly on its way.  He told me that it would be alright but the lies were ever apparent, and still I didn't say a word."

3rd Reading Responses

"If I Told Him: A Portrait of Picasso" was a very inspiring piece for myself.  I have always been someone who has the tendency to rhyme.  I found the "musical" aspect to the poem very intreguing.  It inspired me to be a little more wordy in my works and step away from my tendency to rhyme"

"I have enjoyed the word play that goes along with our reading selections this week.  Wordiness is something everyone can appreciate.  Many times it comes in the form of puns, which are the greatest of all wit."

3rd Random Impulses

"Knowledge is power.  Power is knowledge.  Knowledgable persons personify power.  People Personifying knowledge know power.  All the while power knows it lies in knowing but first and foremost mostly for the first.  The first four mostly, four at first, but the first four at most."

"It's all worth reaching for, reaching for all it's worth because it's all worth reachign for for once I was blind but now I just look away.  I just look blindly away for once I was away."
